In your savings calculation do you base the amount on CVS' regular prices? I think that if you do this, the amount will be seriously inflated since CVS prices are so much higher than that of any other store. I used to do the Extra Buck thing until I noticed how out of hand their prices were getting. I had stopped for a while and then was going to go back last week, but I could not bring myself to pay $6.99 for the Glade candle that I'd see elsewhere for 2.99 or 3.99, regardless how many EBs they gave me. The same went for the other products I had considered, such as the Carefree liners and the toothpaste. I just wondered what your thoughts are on CVS/EBs. Is there something that I am missing?

I know you can roll the EBs into other purchases, but the inital outlay in order to get the EBs seems like such a rip-off. I had to laugh at a comment on another blog where a woman said that "CVS was like a gift from God"! Whoa!

Hello Sheri,

I really don't do CVS too often. Like you said the prices OOP just aren't worth the ECB exchange. At least not for me. Some have much better luck with their CVS experiences than I. Although, sometimes there will be a great sale that i just can't pass up when factoring in the coupons and ECB's!

Thanks for your reply and for letting me know I am not the only one who feels CVS might be a rip-off. And by the way, I thought I was commenting on your CVS run though, not the Target one! LOL!
