My Little Pony “Twinkle Wish Adventure” DVD Review/Giveaway ENDED

I am so very excited to have had the chance to review the new My Little Pony movie “Twinkle Wish Adventure” released earlier this month (October 13th 2009) thanks to Hasbro and Shout Factory.

This movie takes me back to my childhood. I had heaping piles of My Little Ponies all over my aunts house as a child. I loved watching the cartoon on television. It was right up there with Punky Brewster, Smurfs, Strawberry shortcake!! Feeling nostalgic yet!? I am so pleased that Hasbro has brought the pony’s back to life for another generation to enjoy!

I was sent a copy of My Little Pony Twinkle Wish Adventure to review. This brand new animated feature follows Pinkie Pie and all her pony friends on a fun-filled adventure as they discover that friendship can make wishes come true. All the ponies can’t wait for the Winter Wishes festival where the Wishing Star grants each pony one special wish. But when the Wishing Star disappears, they go on a journey to find it. Will they make it back in time for the festival? Find out by joining Pinkie Pie and all her pony friends on this magical journey of discovery.

The DVD is jam-packed with fun extras including a new animated short
“Elefun and Friends,” the “Waiting for the Winter Wishes Festival” prequel, six sing –along songs, downloadable coloring sheets, cut out pony ornaments and four fun activites!!! All for only $14.99 suggested retail price. Don’t forget that Toy’s R Us and Target will have specially marked packages with coupons attached for $5.00 OFF!! We all love coupons right!?

Bonus Features:

  • Six Sing-Alongs:
    • “My Little Pony” Theme Song (I am 28 years old and STILL know the words to this song!)
    • “The Thing-A-Ma-Do Song” (Soooo very cute!)
    • “Dreams Do Come True”
    • “Somewhere Super New”
    • “That’s What Makes A Friend”
    • “A Wonderful Winter Song”
  • “Waiting For The Winter Wishes Festival—A Prequel
  • “Elefun and Friends”—A New Animated Short
  • Four Downloadable Activities:
    • Coloring Sheet
    • Pony Note to Santa
    • How to Make a Snowman
    • Cut-Out Pony Ornaments

This DVD is sure to bring back wonderful memories of your childhood as well as create new ones for you and your child to share. Now you can sing along with your children and actually KNOW the words!! hehe.

My favorite childhood memory is the trip to Africa that my family and I took. It was gorgeous! The natives were beautiful and loving people. The animals that came up to the salt licks were just so surreal! What a wonderful memory.
